DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Riverside County — October 25, 2026. Residents following Desert Hot Springs local government can now review the official meeting portal’s entries for the October 6 and October 20, 2026 City Council meetings, as well as separate Planning Commission and Public Safety Commission sessions. The calendar makes it possible to find meeting notices and related records instead of relying on social media summaries of city actions.
How often does the City Council meet?
According to the City of Desert Hot Springs meeting directory, regular City Council meetings are generally held on the first and third Tuesday in the Council Chambers at 11-999 Palm Drive, with regular business beginning at 6 p.m. Closed sessions or special presentations may take place earlier and should be checked in the individual agenda. A standard recurring schedule is not a guarantee every individual date is held.
Separate boards have their own schedules
The city lists Planning Commission meetings on the second Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Public Safety Commission meetings on the second Thursday at 6 p.m. Both generally use City Hall Council Chambers. The portal specifically identifies an October 13 Planning Commission session and an October 8 Public Safety Commission session. These bodies have different responsibilities from the City Council.
Why consult the original documents?
The online agenda contains proposed matters, reports and other supporting material; it is not itself proof that councilmembers voted to adopt an item. For actual outcomes, review adopted minutes or a recording of the meeting. If there is a dispute about what was said, check the full original recording, including public comments and the surrounding discussion, rather than relying on an isolated excerpt.
Residents may find current and archived documents in the City Council meeting information and meeting type directory. The city’s official site includes general department contact information. See Desert Hot Springs News for other community reporting.
